Every Monday through Friday, the workday ends at 5pm with the sound of the steam whistle blowing at Fishtale Brewery. The sound is a reminder of downtown Olympia’s industrial roots.

At the core of the district is downtown’s entertainment and theatre area and the city’s traditional industrial area. The district has a mix of businesses such as:

Many are housed in former warehouses and older industrial structures.

At the edges of the district are the Olympia Farmers Market and Swantown Boatyard & Marina. They are linked by beautiful waterfront walkways and great views.
