Jimmy Jet
(American, born 1951)

Location: Washington State Arts Commission, Olympia

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Artist Jimmy Jet created this richly detailed painting. He seeks to share the dynamic complexity of the world. He states, "In this particular work are references to physical, mental and spiritual realities. It is purposeful that the images are confusing, overlapping, and interactive - even as they maintain separate identities… Images of man, animals, and environments suggest relationships critical to our survival. It is my design that in repeated viewings the maze of images will yield previously unseen images and combinations thereof."

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with North Mason School District.
