Jungle Fruits I-VI, 1988
Joan Stuart Ross
(American, born 1942)
Location: Kingston Middle School, Kingston
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Artist Joan Stuart Ross created the screen print Jungle Fruits I-VI using nine layers of color. She developed each color and design on its own screen, which she then printed in sequence. She notes, "Ideas for Jungle Fruits I-VI developed from ideas of organic shapes in a tropical, light-filled environment. Water and its elements of flow and current are important also."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with North Kitsap School District.
