ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Artist Bill Will created this suspended sculpture using colorful geometric glass and a steel framework. The sculpture is kinetic, rotating using a motor. This movement causes the rotation of multiple elements where the top, middle, and bottom parts of the sculpture connect.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Chehalis School District.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Portland, Oregon-based artist Bill Will creates conceptual, kinetic, and multi-media sculptures and installations, often made of found objects.

Bill Will received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington State University in Pullman, Eastern Washington. He is Professor Emeritus at the Oregon College of Art and Craft.
