ABOUT THE ARTWORK
De Goutte Chaud is a neon sculpture created by artist Lynn Paul Davis. The title is a French phrase translating to "hot drop." A vintage space heater connects to glowing glass tubing filled with neon gas to give it the vibrant orange color. A 6000-volt transformer powers the sculpture.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Tumwater School District.
