ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Furrow is a grid of 24 square paintings created by artist Lanny Devuono. The images show the graphic furrow patterns made in agricultural fields, contrasted against blue skies. She notes, "The Palouse, with its endless, majestic, wheat-filled hills, well farmed, not quite wild, and yet not wholly tamed, have become a source of imagery."

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Pasco School District.
