Sally Sellers
(American, born 1951)

Location: Pioneer Valley Elementary, Spanaway

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Featuring a pattern that emphasizes transitions between colors, Diversion I is composed as an impressionistic garden scene. It is an example of artist Susan Sellers' art quilts that investigate concepts of fracturing, passage, and boundaries. She notes, "it is a quilt where the shape of individual pieces were undemanding and the focus is on the emotional response ot color."

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Bethel School District.
