ABOUT THE ARTWORK
‘Snow Geese in January’ is a painting by artist Cheri O'Brien. It is a portrait of the artist gazing at geese flying above Puget Sound. The scene is based on Port Gardner Bay, near Mukilteo, Washington. She notes, “I was interested in doing a painting using a lot of blue and gray to offset the colors and give it a cold winter-like feel.”
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Lake Chelan School District.
