Location: Allen Creek Elementary, Marysville

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Hall's Creek is a figurative painting by artist Roger Jones. A small slice of Pacific Northwest wilderness found in a residential area inspired this lush landscape. He notes, "It is a magical pocket of nature. The skunk cabbage in the foreground reveals the time of year to be early summer. The viewer's eye focuses on the skunk cabbage and then move through the lush greenery within the composition. This painting is an attempt to idealize a place found in nature which happens to be close to my home.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Marysville School District.
