ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Small Mural: Relief Facade is a cast glass sculpture by artist Gerry Newcomb. It is part of his body of work that explores architectural elements and man-made constructions. He notes "I hope these works can stimulate new thoughts about the places and structures we inhabit."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with North Kitsap School District.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Northwest glass artist Gerry Newcomb uses kiln-cast glass to create complex wall sculptures, architectural panels, tables, and light fixtures. His artworks invite the viewer's energetic interaction while playing with form, light, and texture.
