ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Northern Lights is a watercolor painting by artist Linda Okazaki and depicts various images derived from the artist's dreams. She notes, "sometimes by looking at the simplest things with a slight shift in our perception we get a glimpse of the underlying nature of things. The making of paintings can in the best of circumstances be one of those kinds of explorations."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Battle Ground School District.
