ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Ferry Run is one of three artworks by Joseph Brooks at Ballou Junior High that explore the connections between us and the Pacific Northwest. Brooks notes, "The Pacific Northwest is rich with beautiful skies, expansive views and a wide variety of plants and people. We share the rhythm and beauty of our surroundings with the animals who called it home before humans were here. We have a responsibility to the land and I hope in the future we will choose to live more harmoniously with nature as humans. It’s our choice."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Puyallup School District.
