ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Tree of Life by Curtis Pittman suggests a large tree form, with wind-blown branches that gesture towards the nearby Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge in Southwestern Washington. It has ten trunk forms with attached branches, with each branch holding two to three green acrylic "leaves". Pittman notes that “its symbolism of ‘growth’ parallels the growth of the students that we educate.”
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Ridgefield School District.
