ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Bruce Andersen and Shannon Andersen's Omnibus is an abstract sculpture on the Pierce County Skills Center campus. The artists describe the sculpture as "multiple components that come together to create a single monolith." This idea represents the collaborative nature of many programs taught at the skills center. The sculpture's "safety" colors – yellow, orange, red – are inspired by some of the trades that are taught at the school, such as construction trades, fire science, and emergency services.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Bethel School District.
