ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Illuminated Gateway Arbors is comprised of a total of 42 aluminum and acrylic tree-forms. It is one of two groupings by artist Koryn Rolstad located at the Walla Walla Regional Airport. The artist states that these works are "designed to emulate and honor the airport gateway concept and tie an image of nature and tree formations back to this growing agrarian-based economy... [the installations] are visually fresh and exciting each time that they are experienced, from day to night, presenting a gateway beacon for the Port of Walla Walla."

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Department of Corrections and Port of Walla Walla.
