ABOUT THE ARTWORK
David Jacobson's monolithic characters inspired by folklore, fables, and fairy tales are sited at the edge of a wild grove of trees at Lacey's Chambers Prairie Elementary School.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with North Thurston Public Schools.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Seattle-based artist David Jacobson creates drawings and sculptures. His sculptures of ‘big heads’ show his interest in scale and figure work. Jacobson’s long-standing involvement with Artwood in Lake City, Washington shows his dedication to the art community.
