ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Anne Storrs created eight building blocks representing what students are learning in each grade at Gregory Heights Elementary. Each block includes a bronze sculpture on top and ceramic tile mosaics on the sides. It all start with a block with a G and H for the school name and a compass on top. The blocks and sculptures continue with a nest of eggs for Kindergarten, and end with a bird-airplane taking off on the 6th block. Other sculptures include a bowl of words, strawberries, a potted plant, a crab, and a leaf and magnifying glass.
