ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Green Vase is a mixed media painting by artist Ellen Steinfeld. She created the composition by first applying oil paints onto an acrylic sheet. She then transferred the image onto paper and added more painted layers. The energetic composition suggests movement and interaction among many abstract forms and elements. She notes, "My work is about the environment, how people relate to it and how they are influenced by it."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Tacoma School District.
