Storylines 2, 1998
Jeannette Meyer
(American, born 1954)
Location: Harbor Ridge Middle School, Gig Harbor
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Storylines 2 was created by artist Jeannette Meyer. It is part of her series of quilts that use curved stitching and applique to symbolize how we communicate stories. Describing her composition, Meyer notes "these lines wove and danced and touched, much as our stories do: sometimes intersecting to share a narrative, then deflecting off into different storylines."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Peninsula School District.
