(American, born 1945)
Location: Terrace Park Elementary School, Mountlake Terrace
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Lucky Dragon is part of artist Bill Hoppe's body of work that seeks to visually depict sound and what the artist calls sound's "poetic link to form." This piece captures the artist's experience walking down the street in San Francisco's Chinatown district and listening to the moment a gust of wind shook a hanging lantern.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Edmonds School District.
