ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Free Flight is a mixed media triptych wall sculpture by artist Katherine Holzknecht. It is comprised of three abstract elements. The forms represent clouds, birds, and wings. The artist notes this piece is inspired by the feeling of freedom. She states, “Birds are like free spirits who can go wherever they desire. As they fly about, the sky must seem huge to them, and the possibilities are endless.”
