ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Taking her inspiration from her garden, flying creatures, and the sky, Louise Kodis' art is of a contemporary design made of rich and abstract colors. "Without fail," Kodis says, "my artwork brings smiles of delight and satisfaction to people of all ages."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Monroe School District.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Spokane, Eastern Washington-based artist Louise Kodis creates wall hangings and installations made from colorful textiles.
Kodis studied at the San Francisco Art Institute in California. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington State University in Pullman, Eastern Washington, in 1964.
