Arts Education data and research can help identify areas of success and gaps in student access and participation with arts and cultural learning. ArtsWA and the Arts for All Coalition continue to assess the accessibility of arts education in our state and explore pathways for student expression and learning inside and outside the school day.
Washington State Arts Education Data Dashboard
The Arts Education Data Project is a partnership between the State Education Agency Directors of Arts Education and Quadrant Research. The nationwide project coordinates with participating state departments of education to collect and report arts education data from State Longitudinal Data Systems (SLDS) and other state department of education data sets on an annual basis. Prepared by Quadrant Research, the Washington State Arts Education Data Project includes school enrollment data self-reported by districts across the state, grades 6 through 12, for the 2021-22 school year. Data from additional school years will be added as it becomes available.
Note: The data used for the Washington State Arts Education Data Project were self-reported by Districts and, therefore, may not reflect a complete account of student enrollment or access.
