🎉 Congratulations to 2025 Washington State Poetry Out Loud Champion Sydney Frost! Frost is a senior at Mt. Spokane High School in Spokane County. Rising to the top from a competitive field of over 8,000 students from 37 schools across the state, Frost was among the 11 high school students—all regional Poetry Out Loud champions—who competed in the State Final.
“Even if I hadn’t won, being able to make it to the State Competition for a third time, I’m so grateful,” said Frost. “I am so honored to be representing Washington State in this incredible poetry program and to have the opportunity to share the voice you helped me achieve.”
Frost will represent Washington State at the Poetry Out Loud National Finals on May 7 in Washington D.C., immediately after the semi-finals on May 6.
