Tribal Cultural Affairs Program was created from state legislation in 2023, dedicating $1,000,000 over two years to art and culture for Washington Tribes. Now, we are ready to request additional funding from legislators, and we need input and feedback from Indigenous artists, urban Native groups, and Tribal entities across Washington.
In this listening session, we will ask:
- How can Tribal Cultural Affairs (TCA) help uplift Native arts and culture and ensure Indigenous artists are represented in the state’s creative economy?
- What funding ideas do you think will have the biggest impact on Washington’s Tribal Communities?
- How can TCA best support urban Native communities through arts and culture?
- How can TCA best support individual Indigenous artists?
Can’t make the listening sessions? We still want to hear from you. Please fill out this short survey.
