💵 Budget: $55,000 inclusive of preparatory sketches, framing, and delivery
The Washington State Arts Commission (ArtsWA) and Office of the Governor are seeking an artist to paint the official portrait of Governor Jay Inslee, the 23rd governor of Washington. He will be stepping down in 2025 after three terms in office. The selected artist will receive a $55,000 commission contract that includes the final portrait plus preparatory drawings/sketches for review by the portrait committee, framing, and delivery to Olympia for installation.
To be eligible, you must be an established professional artist residing in the United States or British Columbia. Washington State artists and those who have lived in Washington are strongly encouraged to apply.
